Our Past, Present, and Future

In 1973, a group of business owners and city leaders in Osborne, Kansas, launched a small manufacturing company called Osborne Industries, Inc. Their mission was to preserve the rural area by providing additional employment opportunities in north central Kansas.

The first Osborne manufacturing facility was housed in the 4-H building at the county fairgrounds and involved the hand processing of one product: the Stanfield heat pad. By 1976, Osborne developed a closed plastic molding process, later known as Resin Transfer Molding (RTM), and launched the development of a new low-cost method of Reaction Injection Molding (RIM) in 1993. Our diversity of products ranges from OEM industrial components across multiple industries to computer-driven automated swine management systems and other livestock management equipment.

Today, 50 years since its incorporation, Osborne Industries employs about 100 residents of north central Kansas and is 100% employee owned, serving customers and distributors around the world in Australia, Japan, South Korea, Brazil, Mexico, Canada, United Kingdom, and more. We look forward to serving our customers for the next 50 years and beyond.
