Big Wheel® Hog Feeders
Ad-Lib Feeders
Purpose
The Big Wheel Ad-Lib Feeder was designed to be used in farrowing crates and testing pens. Other uses include small group pens and show pigs.
Sows stay in top condition
- The proven and patented Osborne "mechanical-flow" system makes the Big Wheel Ad-Lib Feeder work better than any feeder yet designed for single pigs. It delivers fresh feed ad libitum without waste for maximum intake
- Feed trough stays clean, with no corners or cracks to trap feed. Washing and disinfecting are easy and quick
- The reverse trough lip scrapes feed from the sow's chin hairs to save feed, and prevents lower teeth from damaging the long-lasting trough
- The reliable preset flow-rate allows for no adjustment to be needed for most feeders. A removable disk changes flow-rate for major changes in feed type
- Adaptation to existing gates is easy. We fabricate a wide range of head-gate adapters to match common farrowing crate styles or design to your special requirements
Two models are available
- The S100 transparent volumetric hopper lets you track daily feed intake
- The S110 gives your sows continuous automatic feed from a feed conveyor
