TEAM E-Station
Purpose
The TEAM E-Station checks for estrus in gilts and sows and watches for return to estrus among gestating sows.Use
- Automated estrous detection for gilts and sows in large pens
- Automated estrous detection for gilts in gilt development units
- Aid conventional estrous detection
Operation
- Gilts and sows interact with a boar through nose-to-nose contact
- E-Station reads the RFID ear tag and identifies the animal visiting the E-Station
- Visit and length of individual animal visit is measured and recorded in TEAM Software
- TEAM E-Station equipped with spray marker accessory marks animals in estrus
