Total Electronic Animal Management (TEAM^®)

TEAM E-Station

Purpose

The TEAM E-Station checks for estrus in gilts and sows and watches for return to estrus among gestating sows.

Use

Automated estrous detection for gilts and sows in large pens
Automated estrous detection for gilts in gilt development units
Aid conventional estrous detection

Operation

Gilts and sows interact with a boar through nose-to-nose contact
E-Station reads the RFID ear tag and identifies the animal visiting the E-Station
Visit and length of individual animal visit is measured and recorded in TEAM Software
TEAM E-Station equipped with spray marker accessory marks animals in estrus
